Police are seeking the help of the public to trace a missing 15-year-old boy who may have travelled through to Edinburgh or Musselburgh on Thursday night.

The schoolboy from Airdrie was last seen at Drumgelloch train station around 7.10pm and officers believe he may have tried to travel through to the capital.

A Lanarkshire Police Division statement reads: “We’re appealing for information to help find a missing 15-year-old boy from Airdrie.

“Jay Ferguson was last seen at Drumgelloch train station in Airdrie around 7.10pm on Thursday, 23 July, 2020.

“It’s believed he might have travelled to the Musselburgh area via Edinburgh on the train.”
