RUSSIAN comedy is as dry as a bone and can be hard for Westerners to fathom however in the case of Oleg Denisov, it is well worth the effort.

Any man with a background in philosophy makes for a fascinating comedian (take Ricky Gervais) and Oleg takes us on a journey through the Russian psyche.

Naturally, Putin looms large as does classical literature and democracy.

There are also remarkable insights into Russian psyche as well as Russian humour.

Oleg’s humour isn’t laugh out loud but that doesn’t make it any less valid. It is cerebral, thoughtful and provocative.

We think Oleg Denisov could create quite a niche in the British comedy scene. Far from the finished article, and he did labour a number of points, but he is well worth an hour of your time.
