SILVERWOOD LOCHAN ADDS EXTRA ATTRACTION TO STUNNING NEW PERTHSHIRE RESORT
A new luxury lodge resort at Errol in Perthshire is offering an additional attraction for both lodge holiday makers and visitors – its own fully stocked small trout loch, or “lochan”, an old Scottish word for a small loch.
Silverwood Luxury Resort is situated between Perth and Dundee in the Carse of Gowrie. Anglers can fish for rainbow trout, as well as blue and brown varieties.
The lochan is ideal for use by both beginner and experienced anglers with rod hire and tuition available on request. Reduced catch and release rates are available for those staying at the resort.
Silverwood Managing Director Rod Sim said : “We are very fortunate to have this beautiful lochan here on the estate. You can catch and release from £10 if you are staying here with us, or from £15 if you are a visitor who wants to come and fish. You might want to improve your technique with a fly fishing lesson, or simply watch others. It’s a lovely tranquil spot where you can enjoy the surroundings.”
Booking ahead is advised for fishing at Silverwood. Please call 01250 873808.
