Hibs’ fans will have the chance to remember loved ones today as part of ‘To Absent Friends’ activity.

First introduced at Easter Road in 2016, the initiative has been brought about through GameChanger in collaboration with NHS Lothian’s Health Promoting Palliative Care Project.

Supporters are encouraged to write messages and stick pictures on the posters, which will be displayed in concourses throughout the stadium.

The initiative won a national award as the 2018 Contribution About Death Award, and the messages will be collated after the game and kept as part of the club archives with the Hibernian Historical Trust.

The club has asked fans to be respectful of others when leaving messages.

Hibs face St Johnstone at Easter Road this afternoon with a 3pm kick off and a large crowd is expected.
