Paul Young, who has appeared in leading TV shows including Still Game (Paul plays Hugh ‘Shug’ McLauchlin), Take the High Road, Taggart and The Tales of Para Handy, is the headline attraction at the Orvis Open Day on Saturday.

The event is from 10am to 4pm in the Edinburgh store at Hope Street, near Charlotte Square.

Edinburgh-born Young formerly hosted a popular TV show called Hooked on Fishing and the 74-year-old has travelled the world enjoying his passion for the sport.

Professional fly tying experts will demonstrate the art as well and professional casting instructors will also be there to offer hints and tips.
