Some of the biggest names in rock and pop music, from 60s legends to today’s chart-toppers, are coming to Edinburgh’s Usher Hall this Autumn.

The Usher Hall is the Scottish capital’s go-to concert venue, and the Autumn gig season sees it continue its legacy of hosting the best the music industry has to offer.

Biffy Clyro

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro are set to perform a very special, sold-out acoustic set as part of the iconic MTV Unplugged Series.  Although their live shows are best known for their electrifying and explosive energy, the Kilmarnock trio have often demonstrated that their songs possess an added poignancy when stripped back to their essence.

From the other side of the pond, American rock legend Jack White makes a triumphant return to the Usher Hall in October. The former-White Stripes frontman will bring songs from his critically acclaimed new album Boarding House Reach alongside some classics from his inimitable back catalogue.

Joan Armatrading

As the very first UK female singer/songwriter to gain international success Joan Armatrading has spent the last 45 years touring and recording. 2018 brings Joan into her 46th year in music and only the second time that she will be performing a tour completely solo. She’ll host an evening of brand new music and much-loved gems from across her career on 25 September.

English Singer-songwriter Tom Odell will also bring his unique brand of folk-inflected pop to the stage, as will Swedish sister duo First Aid Kit in support of their new record Ruins on their biggest UK tour to date. Their sold-out set will be supported by another group of sisters with a penchant for gorgeous vocal harmonies and a folk aesthetic, The Staves.

Caro Emerald is an original pop star with the look of a Hollywood icon of yesteryear and a voice that oozes warmth and vitality. She graces the stage on 13 Oct, while November sees the eagerly anticipated comeback of Christine and the Queens. Christine’s critically acclaimed debut album Chaleur Humaine was a tremendous success; selling 1.3 million units across the world and becoming the biggest selling debut album in the UK in 2016.

Considered one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, legendary guitarist and singer-songwriter Robert Cray returns to the UK in Autumn 2018 following the success of his most recent album – the Blues Music Awards nominated ‘Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm’.

Yes it is The Osmonds!

60s icons The Osmonds have sold over 100 million records worldwide. Performing songs from a career spanning over 6 decades, join Merrill & Jay Osmond for a Rockin’ Christmas show that will get you out of your seats!

The Usher Hall is also set to hold storming performances from some of the finest tribute acts around today. These include, The Musical Box – A Genesis Extravaganza, Ben Portsmouth as Elvis in The King is Back, Queen Extravaganza, the greatest hits of ABBA in Björn Again, The Australian Pink Floyd and the Bootleg Beatles.
