M&S Princes Street chose The Butterfly Trust as its charity of the year and over the last twelve months their customers and staff have raised £10,000 for the charity which supports those living with Cystic Fibrosis.

There have been all sorts of fundraising events such as sponsored dog walks, bake sales and a sponsored sky dive by staff member Liam Caruthers.

The funds will be used to support individuals with the condition along with their families by providing emotional support and practical assistance.

David Badura from The Butterfly Trust, said: “We greatly appreciate the staff at M&S Princes Street for all of their hard work in raising these crucial funds. The money raised will go towards providing care and support for those living with Cystic Fibrosis, as well as their families.”

Jenny McPartlin, Store Manager at M&S Princes Street, said: “We pride ourselves on our work within the surrounding community and supporting local causes. The Butterfly Trust work tirelessly to improve living conditions for those suffering from Cystic Fibrosis, right here in Edinburgh, and we hope our efforts will allow more people to access and benefit from their much needed services.”

Each year, M&S stores across the country select one local charity to support over a 12 month period, hosting fundraising events with customers and colleagues.
