Flo Kamberi is delighted to have started his Hibs’ career with two goals from three games, but the Swiss Under-21 striker insists that the club’s three successive victories are more important than his personal glory.

With the score 1-0 in Hibs favour, Kamberi controlled a Paul Hanlon strike before turning inside the penalty box and firing the ball into the bottom corner of the net, sparking wild scenes from the delighted fans.

That goal effectively killed the game and Hibs always looked the likelier to score.

Kamberi also praised the contribution of striking partner Jamie Maclaren and believes that the pair can enjoy a fruitful partnership in the future.

After the game he told Cliff Pike of Hibernian TV: “It was a well deserved three points. It was a tough game and we knew it but we did very well.

“Normally we can score four or five goals more but we won 2-0 and that is the most important thing.

“I am delighted with my goals but more delighted that we have won all three games since I arrived and that’s the most important thing. Of course if I score for the team that is good as well.

“It’s always nice to score goals I don’t want to put pressure on myself for the future. I just want to play game by game and give my best to the team and score if I can and win as many games as possible.

“I like to play football, not just long balls and I am very pleased to be here and part of the team.

“We saw at Ibrox that we (Jamie Maclaren) can play well together and in training we have some good combinations together. We know each other, how the other guy runs to make free spaces for each other.”
