Café at Glenogle is open

The café at Glenogle Baths is now open and the new space on the balcony is being run by lifeguard Sam Machin.

Book event during Festival – tickets on sale now

Edinburgh Summer Gliterary Lunch will be held during the festival. The format is a simple one. Enjoy a sparkling drinks reception followed by a delicious lunch with two award-winning writers Nikki May & Louisa Treger.  

To reserve a table, book 10 places.

Ticket holders will also be able pre-order both of the featured books and they will be waiting on the table on arrival, presented in a gift bag.

Living Rent public meeting

Living Rent are holding a public meeting to discuss development on the Dalton Scrapyard in Leith on 10 May 2024 at 6.30pm at Duncan Place Community Hub EH6 8HW.

Other land owned by Daltons on Eyre Place Lane had been earmarked by developers for use as a site for student flats. After two appeals to the Government Reporter the application to build student flats has been firmly turned down. Isummary the decision stated that the proposed development does not “accord overall with the relevant provisions of the development plan and that there are no material considerations which would justify granting planning permission”. Free Heritage Walk

The Causey is the triangular area in the middle of the road opposite the bar 56 degrees north in the Southside. Each Saturday morning they hold a sit out usually with coffee and next Tuesday evening they are hosting a heritage walk which anyone can join.
