Background: Kailzie Fishery is situated 2.5 miles south of Peebles on the B7062 and sits next to the River Tweed. 

Follow the signs to Kailzie Gardens and it is open seven days a week, all the year round. You can fly fish for specimens weighing up tie 18lb and also bait fish. There is free advice for the beginner. You can book lessons from Ā£40 for two hours which includes all the tackle and safety equipment.

Open: seven days: April to October: Monday to Friday 8am to 10pm/dusk; Saturday: 8am to 5pm (no evening sessions available on a Saturday; Sunday 9am to 10pm/dusk; November to March: Monday to Sunday 9am to dusk.

Species: brown trout, rainbow trout.
Basic prices: from Ā£14 (cash and credit card).
Concessions for juniors (under 14) and seniors.

Rod hire: equipment for fly fishing available to hire at Ā£5 for the day or Ā£3 for bait fishing.
Catching method: separate fly and bait fishing available.

How many boats: None, bank only.
Bait: artificial baits for sale but no live bait sold on site. Bait anglers are advised to bring worm/maggots with them. Other essentials like floats, weights, hooks and such are available on site.
