Caledonia Pride are celebrating after winning for the first time in the Women’s British Basketball League.
The women bounced back after their narrow 73-71 defeat at Cardiff Met Archers on Saturday, Sarah Wagstaff scoring 23 points for the home side and Natalie Bastian 19 for Pride, to beat Oaklands Wolves 65-55 in London on Sunday.
The victory for coach Bart Sengers and the squad was reward for the hard work they have put into training in their inaugural season in the league.
They have pushed several top teams in previous games but craved a first win and now Sengers will aim to use this as a platform to push on from here.
