Hibs’ attacking midfielder Martin Boyle anticipates a tough game against Morton tomorrow but he is confident that the players can return to Easter Road with all three points.

Neil Lennon has a selection headache following injuries to three key midfield players, John McGinn, Fraser Fyvie and Dylan McGeouch so it is likely that Boyle will start in midfield as he did last Saturday against Dumbarton.

Speaking to Hibs TV, he said: “We’re really looking forward to it. Last weekend it was good to get back to winning ways, but it’ll be a tough game.

“It’s a tight pitch and Morton will be in our faces and not give us a moment’s rest, but we’ve trained well this week and are really looking forward to the game.

“It’s all about how we use the ball. Holty (Grant Holt) and Brian (Graham) are available if we have to go long and I can play off the second balls. We can play different ways now.

“Morton have done well this season. They got to the semi-final of a major tournament and they have a young energetic squad and they will be looking to cause an upset but it’s u to us to stop them.”

Boyle was moved back into midfield to cover for the injured players and accommodate top scorer Jason Cummings and he was quick to pay tribute to his more experienced team mates who helped him adapt to the change.

He said: ” I felt that I’d done all right last week against Dumbarton. I was trying to be as attacking as I could and created chances for my team mates. It was a different role but I had the boys behind me giving me instructions. Experienced players such as Marvin (Bartley) and Andrew Shinnie helped get me through the game.

“I got off to a shaky 20 minutes adapting but after that the game started to open up and I got on the ball and started to get at people.

Club Partners Marathonbet are also laying on 11 coaches, which will stop off en route to Cappielow at an as yet unnamed venue, with over 500 fans making the trip as part of the day.

He added: “It’s brilliant and all the support, the better. Hopefully we can make it an enjoyable day for them. Our aim is to go there and give the supporters what they want.
