Over 100 football fans have now been arrested connection with events at the end of the Scottish Cup final in May.

Hibs beat Rangers 3-2 with the winning goal coming in injury time sparking a pitch invasion by jubilant Hibs supporters.

Some supporters ran toward the Rangers fans which culminated with a number of fights on the field before police restored order.

A police investigation was launched after the game which has resulted in numerous photographs being issued.

Police have continued to appeal for information.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A further six men aged 32, 17, 18, 23, 23 and 22 have been arrested in connection with the alleged violence and disorder at the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Saturday, 21 May, 2016.

“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

” A team of officers continue to investigate incidents of violence, disorder and vandalism at this fixture and appeal to anyone with information that may assist their enquiries to contact the inquiry team on 0141 532 5457 or by emailing scottishcupfinalpitchinvasion@scotland.pnn.police.uk
