Magic returns to Edinburgh with Potter-themed Snow Ball 2016

The magic of Harry Potter will charm Edinburgh once again this festive season with the return of the popular Potter-themed Snow Ball on Saturday 26th November.

From 7pm – 11pm, for one night only the city where it all began will once again play host to a one-night wizarding spectacular in aid of the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), and the Harry Potter Alliance (HPA).

The Snow Ball 2016 event follows the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – a new enchanting chapter in the Potterverse – and will provide Potterheads with an evening of magical entertainment, including a stellar wizard rock line-up. Set in the Hogwartian-esque Debating Hall in Teviot Row House at Edinburgh University, the fourth annual Snow Ball is a testament in international magical cooperation.

Fans of JK Rowling’s world-renowned Harry Potter stories are set to flock from all corners of the UK, Europe and the US to the Scottish capital. For 2016, the Snow Ball welcomes back Harry and the Potters – the first stateside wizard rockers that kick-started the self-proclaimed nerdy sub-genre of Lit Rock – as well as perennial favourites Draco and the Malfoys, and the UK’s own Siriusly Hazza P. The three wizard rock acts will front a night of fundraising activities, including raffle, book donations, fandom merch stalls and more.

Previous Snow Ball events since 2009 have raised over £3000 for charity, and all profits raised from the 2016 event will be donated to CHAS and the HPA.

Tickets on sale now.

The Snow Ball 2016 is sponsored by Carrington Mortgage UK Ltd in association with the Edinburgh University Harry Potter Society

All profits raised will support The Harry Potter Alliance (HPA) and the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (SC 019724), an organisation dedicated to supporting families of critically ill children across Scotland.

Tickets cost £18.50 via PayPal, or £20 on the door.
