Edinburgh residents are invited to help shape the proposed improvements to some of Edinburgh’s dedicated routes for walking and cycling.

QuietRoutes are Edinburgh’s local walking and cycling routes, and are perfect for trips out exploring the city. The routes have been designed for users of all abilities and are a great way to travel around the city avoiding the busy main roads.

The new consultations, which run until 4 September, seek feedback on proposed alterations to parts of QuietRoute 20 (Craigleith, Leith and Restalrig) and QuietRoute 61 (The Rosslyn Chapel Way).

The appointment of two of Edinburgh’s most ambitious and successful characters in the city’s food and drink industry will collectively bring 30 years of knowledge and experience with their arrival at the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen on George Street.

Mike Lewis and Andrew Lennie have been welcomed into the fold with Mike taking on the role as General Manager and Andrew coming on board as Assistant General Manager. They are hoping to make their mark in the landmark venue, which opened its doors in October of last year.

Departing late morning 13 and 20 August, the Fife and the Forth Valley Circular route takes approximately five hours, travelling non-stop across the Forth Rail Bridge to the Kingdom of Fife, before heading West to Stirling Castle and returning to Edinburgh. First Class Premiere Dining packages cost £175 per adult, and £75 standard class. Family and child tickets are also available.  Refreshments are also available to purchase on board.

The Borders Railway departs morning and afternoon every Sunday in August and September.
