The Kennel Club have begun taking nominations for their 10th annual Be Dog Friendly competition, which allows the public to nominate and vote for their favourite dog-friendly business or location.
There are 10 categories in this year’s competition, including best dog-friendly city, café, hotel, beach and organisation.
The award ceremony will take place in London in October. Each member of public who votes or makes a nomination will automatically be entered into a competition to win £500 towards a dog-friendly holiday.
Speaking on this year’s awards ceremony, Kennel Club secretary, Caroline Kisko said:
“The Be Dog Friendly Awards are a great way to acknowledge the businesses and public places that go above and beyond to make our canine companions feel welcome. Despite being a nation of dog lovers, many owners struggle to find restaurants, shops, accommodation and even outdoor spaces where they can take their pet; therefore pubs that provide treats, beaches that allow dogs to roam off-lead and hotels that offer dog beds should be recognised and rewarded.”
The competition runs until September 30th when voting will close.
