Hearts today announced a record number of season ticket sales with more than 12,500 being sold less in just under four weeks.

The Maroon Army have turned out in their droves to back Head Coach Robbie Neilson and his squad of players – likely to be joined by former Kilmarnock and Republic of Ireland striker Conor Sammon later this month – as the Jambos look to mount a challenge for the Ladbrokes SPFL Premiership title.

With Europa League football just three weeks away, Hearts anticipate even more sales in the days ahead with the possibility of a complete sell-out of season tickets looking likely.

Neilson told the official Hearts website:

“12,500 season tickets is a fantastic achievement, and the amazing thing is that we’re not finished yet,” said the Gorgie chief. “By all accounts the demand is not slowing down, so I’m anticipating an even higher number in the coming weeks.

“To have so many of the fans backing the team and committing to the club for next season is tremendous. Having a full Tynecastle every week, yet again, will go a long way to helping the team meet its targets on the park.

“I’m really looking forward to the start of the season. With new arrivals to come, European football and a competitive league, there’s a lot to be positive about as we head into next season.”

Season tickets can be bought, subject to availability, over the phone by calling 0333 043 1874, option 1, online at Hearts eTickets or in person at the Hearts Ticket Centre on McLeod Street.
