The Edinburgh Reporter was invited along to the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Friday morning to see a very special car indeed.
This D-Type Jaguar came second at Le Mans as part of a first and second triumph by Ecurie Ecosse, and is now proudly owned by car enthusiast Clive Beecham. Mr Beecham  brought it from London to publicise the events taking place in September during the Concours of Elegance. You can read more about the event here.
We also interviewed Mr Beecham about the car – turn up the volume to hear the throaty roar of the 3.8litre engine.
