Police Scotland can now confirm the identity of the lorry driver who died following a fatal road collision in West Lothian as Robert Dellow from Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Mr Dellow was travelling along the A801, one mile north of the Boghead Roundabout at around 8.10am yesterday (Thursday) when his HGV overturned and was then involved in a collision with other vehicles on the road.

Emergency services responded to the incident, however, the 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four other motorists suffered minor injuries and were taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for around eight hours while Road Policing Officers carried out an investigation. Their enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this collision are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward immediately.
