LIVE COMEDY FOR STUDENTS ONLY TWO QUID ANY SCHOOL NIGHT AT THE STAND
UP TO 80% SAVINGS FOR THE BEST IN LIVE COMEDY

Starting this November The Stand Comedy Club will roll out the biggest student discount in its history – with concession tickets for all standard shows from Sunday to Thursday priced at just two pounds.  With a whopping 80% discount for Thursday Show tickets, this is the biggest and best student ticket offer in the country and is valid at all three Stand clubs: Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Students are already used to paying just two quid for our legendary beginners’ show Red Raw. Up to ten brand new comics – some taking the mic for the very first time (and sometimes big name acts trying out new material too), but now they can enjoy loads of other shows for less than the price of a sandwich.

The biggest savings are on a Thursday – it’s usually the same bill as the primetime Saturday Show. Our ace comperes introduce the best headliners from the UK and international circuits. Great support acts and one rising star complete a line-up that’ll leave your belly sore.  You might not have heard their names (yet) but our line-ups are hand-picked from the Scottish and International comedy circuits. So you get the same quality big night out, but less of a queue at the loo.

The Stand is open every night of the week with a varied programme of contemporary stand-up, sketches and touring shows from some of the biggest names in comedy.  The club has stayed true to its roots of developing new comedy in the UK and giving audiences variety and value.  Many of todays’ big comedy names took to the stage for the first time at The Stand, including Kevin Bridges, Frankie Boyle, Susan Calman, Miles Jupp, Des Clarke and Daniel Sloss.

In these cash strapped times, money isn’t academic. We feel that it’s important that the latest generation of live comedy fans are able to afford to come and see in the flesh, live and direct.  Student life is an exciting time, full of hope and opportunity, and The Stand are giving students the opportunity to experience some of the best names in comedy cheaper than anywhere else. It’s an offer that’s too good to refuse.
