Police Scotland have advised that a woman pedestrian has died following the collision which we reported earlier this afternoon.
The woman who has not been named was struck by a motorcycle and then taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Great Junction Street was busy with traffic and pedestrians at the time of the collision, and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident.
“Anyone who saw what happened, who has not yet contacted police, should contact Police Scotland on 101 as soon as possible.”
