A concert by Perth Youth Orchestra this Thursday 22 August 2013 at Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh, comes at the end of its 50th anniversary celebrations and directly follows a highly successful concert tour of Tuscany.

Under the baton of Allan Young, the programme includes Walton’s Crown Imperial, Holst’s St Paul’s Suite, Bruch’s Kol Nidrie (soloist Merran Kay), Aruturian’s Trumpet Concerto (soloist Magnus Pickering)and music from Lord of the Rings and Lord of the Dance.

The orchestra performed at the 15th Florence Festival of Youth Orchestra, alongside orchestras from Alaska, California, Japan, Central Asia and countries across Europe.

Tickets £12 adults – £8 concessions – at the Fringe Box Office.
