Underbelly Bristo Square, 1st to 26th August, 17.50

Acclaimed British vocal group The Magnets are set to take the Edinburgh Fringe by storm with their latest album show All This Time.  Surfing a wave of success the six-member band arrive at The Underbelly following a career-changing year, which has seen the release of their latest album with Wrasse Records, a sell-out national and international tour, numerous TV appearances across the world and their emergence as the highlight of The London A Capella Festival. As well as headlining their own hit tours, in the past The Magnets have supported Blondie, Tom Jones, Michael Ball, Bryan Adams and Lisa Stansfield and performed for royalty and heads of state across the World.  A firm Fringe favourite, The Magnets are back in Edinburgh this August with something a little special.

The latest show from the group universally acclaimed for their tight harmonies and stunningly rhythmic beatboxing, features songs from the new album and combines their hallmark musical prowess with a breathtaking theatricality.  Performing auditory illusions as they recreate the sound of a full vocal and instrumental band TOTALLY a cappella and showcasing their talent for extraordinary all-vocal arrangements, The Magnets give new life to hits from George Michael’s Faith, Amy Winehouse’s Valerie as well as featuring brand new original tracks. The show also reprises their crowd-pleasing History of British Pop medley with added audience participation.  There will also be beatboxer Andy Frost’s show-stopping solo in a show all spiced up with flowing choreography, a spectacular light show and warm humour.

The Magnets have paid their dues as a student group and street performers through a major record deal with EMI and over a decade of international touring.  Regular contributors Radio 2, they have also been seen and heard across Radio and TV, including Comic Relief, Parkinson and GMTV as well as featuring on the YouTube viral T-Mobile Welcome Back commercial.
