Hard Rock International has today announced that Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh will be celebrating its 15th anniversary of rockin’ next month with a series of special music events and offers!

Since pop icon Finley Quaye officially opened Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh in 1998, the 200 capacity restaurant on George Street has welcomed thousands of locals and visitors from all over the globe, sold over one million burgers, and has hosted a huge variety of live music events and VIP parties – making it one of the crowning jewels of the glorious city of Edinburgh and a true hotspot for rock ‘n’ roll history and legendary food.

In the past few years, a variety of fantastic acts have taken to the stage at Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh, including band-of-the-moment The Courteeners plus Ocean Colour Scene, El Presidente and the hugely successful KT Tunstall, who performed live on stage for the cafe’s highly memorable 10th anniversary in 2008.

Memorabilia currently taking pride of place on the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh includes a tuxedo worn by Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger during their 1976 tour, and a black leather skull jacket worn by Ringo Starr, Additionally The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll himself, Elvis Presley, has his sombrero up on the wall of the cafe alongside a T-shirt worn by guitar legend, Slash and a 1970 air ticket under the name ‘Jimi Hendrix’.

Visitors to Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh from 7 March will have the chance to take part in some very special offers spanning 15 days! From Thursday 7 March until Thursday 21 March children can dine for free between the hours of 3 and 6pm, Monday till Friday. Diners will also be able to take advantage of any Legendary Burger and mini dessert option for a phenomenal £15, and don’t forget to buy your classic Edinburgh t-shirt and get 15% off your second item purchased in the Rock Shop, all part of the 15th Anniversary celebrations.

On Thursday 21 March, Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh will host an exclusive performance from heavy rock bagpipers Bags of Rock, delivering stadium worthy sounds to Edinburgh’s Hard Rock Cafe to herald the 15th Anniversary celebrations. A silent auction on the night will see rare collectors pieces auctioned off in aid of Nordoff Robbins Tartan Cleff music therapy in Scotland http://www.tartanclef.org/, including a signed Iron Maiden Guitar! Tickets for this VIP party can only be won by tuning into Forth One Radio from 7 March. Hard Rock’s very own Rita Gilligan MBE – the original Hard Rock waitress and friend to the stars, having served music legends such as Paul McCartney, Aerosmith and Bruce Springsteen, will also be at the event to wish Hard Rock Edinburgh a very happy 15th birthday!
