Both Barrels took to the stage at PJ Malloys in Dunfermline on Saturday night to a decent sized crowd in what was a hometown concert. As support for an AC/DC tribute band (Forever Young) this relatively new band rocked the place with a cracking six song setlist.
I first saw this band back in March at The Hard Rock Cafe in George Street for Hard Rock Rising where they deservedly got through to the competition final. One of the judges described their sound as “epic” and I realised this weekend just how much they have come on since then. The band are tighter and the sound is better.
I also saw them a few weeks ago in Glasgow at the O2 ABC and they performed very well then, but this gig was much better. The crowd really enjoyed the band and I look forward to seeing them again soon.
The setlist was
1) Rise This Time
2) Bloodstone
3) A Distant Toll (Which you can listen to on their Band Page on Facebook
4) Forgotten Faith
5) Broken
6) Your Soul To Take
If you get the chance to see them then please do. You can follow the band on Facebook.
