Ceilidh Culture, organised by the Usher Hall in Edinburgh, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The four week celebration (Friday 16 March – Sunday 15 April) of traditional grassroots arts, has gone from strength to strength and now has a regular following.
There will be another feast of music, dance and storytelling starring top performers from all over Scotland. With over 30 organisations involved and events held throughout the city, Ceilidh Culture proudly showcases local talent alongside international acts.
The launch will take place in February.
Councillor Steve Cardownie, Festivals and Events Champion, said: “Ceilidh Culture has something for everyone to enjoy. An energetic and enthusiastic audience is the best reward for the artists involved, so come along and join the many people who are expected to attend and have some fun. This is a fantastic opportunity to sample traditional Scottish music and have a great time.”
He added: “This is a great opportunity for Scottish artists to put their best foot forward and show us what they’re made of. I am looking forward to hearing about the line-up next month.”
