One MP who is working away down in Westminster is Mark Lazarowicz Labour MP for Edinburgh North & Leith contributed to a debate about disabled access earlier this week highlighting the moneysaving practice of some airlines who use stairs rather than air bridges for access to and from planes. He was speaking in the context of wheelchair users being singled out by this practice and thus having to be brought on board by some other means, but we have often landed at Edinburgh airport only to be taken to one side of the airport building and then brought by bus to the International Arrivals and passport control. It is not in our view the most eco-friendly method of being brought from the airplane into the terminal building.
