Vroni Holzmann is a composer and classical pianist based in Edinburgh.
Originally from Rosenheim, Germany, she completed a Masters of Music in composition at The University of Edinburgh and has recently released her first classical piano album.
Called Wandelung, the album is an ‘integrated arts project’ by Vroni and painter Karl Sylvester. The two met in Edinburgh in 1994 and have collaborated since 2000.
The Edinburgh Reporter was lucky enough catch up with Vroni at the prestigious Balmoral Hotel to hear a composition and find out more about her unique project.
Watch our interview here:
The Wandelung album can be purchased at McAlister Matheson Music in Grindlay Street, Edinburgh and at www.wandelung.net. The Wandelung sheetmusic of both piano cycles is available at www.europaedition.com.
The Edinburgh Reporter would like to thank The Balmoral Hotel for their kind assistance and for taking the time to let us film on premises.
Best of luck with this Vroni!
