A compromise has been reached with the workers at Blindcraft this week to allow the factory to remain open while the council can still try to achieve the financial cuts needed to balance the books.
There are still employment procedures to go through as the Council have to undertake the consultation process with all workers to ensure that they all agree to work a 3 day week. This has been reported elsewhere as almost a formality, but it is an essential formality nevertheless.
