ACA Sports have released a stock advisory notice following a recent flood at their Kirkcaldy headquarters. ACA Sports, official suppliers to Cricket Scotland, were hit by a freak wave from the Forth at the beginning of the month, causing extensive damage to stock. The full range of 2009 Cricket Scotland clothing was contaminated and written off by the insurance company.
ACA Sports managing director Alistair Cameron said: “We were hit by a huge wave which came over the flood defences during the bad weather at the beginning of the month. The water flooded our stock room and rendered much of our stock unfit for purpose and completely unsalvageable.
“However, a number of items, including the contaminated stock of Cricket Scotland clothing, were sold on for salvage by the insurance company. We are advising people not to purchase any of the damaged stock which may become available from other outlets such as e-bay or public auction.
“Any items purchased from external outlets other than ACA Sports will be sold as seen and we are unable to offer any return on faulty items. This announcement will not affect any of the new 2010 stock which is due into stock in time for the new season in May. We would like to thank all of our customers for their patience during the recent flooding.”
