The last trains on 31 December will leave a bit earlier than normal and passengers are urged to check the timetables.
As in previous years, there will be no trains running on New Year’s Day.
A revised service will operate on 2 January, and details of the changes, including the last trains on New Year’s Eve are available on the ScotRail website.
Mark Ilderton, ScotRail Service Delivery Director, said: “We hope all our customers have had a wonderful time with family and friends during the Christmas period and have a prosperous New Year.
“We’re encouraging everyone looking to travel over the next few days to plan ahead and check their journey on the ScotRail app or website before they set off.
“The last trains on New Year’s Eve will depart earlier than usual, and the first trains of the day will start later than normal on Friday, 2 January.”
