The East of Scotland men’s padel team have triumphed in the UK County Championship, topping a list of 34 entrants in Bristol.
Represented by captain Sam Macneil, and also featuring Ross Murdoch, Jorge Martinez and Alan Macdonald the team regained the trophy won in its inaugural year of 2023. Last year East lost in the semi-finals.
It was a particularly intense two day competition with East overcoming group top seeds Surrey in addition to Kent and Staffordshire.
Progressing to the group stages Middlesex were overcome in the quarters and North of Scotland in the semi-final.
Finally, East men saw off South Wales in the final.
