For the first time under its present ownership, The Old Manor Hotel will serve dinner on Christmas Day.

The Hotel, known for its views over the Lundin Links Golf Course to the sea beyond, was purchased by the Wallace family of Pettycur Bay in 2021. Over the past three years, the hotel bedrooms and common areas have been extensively refurbished as well as the bar and lounge areas.

Operations Manager, Steven Carleschi said: “Perhaps you’re a family who always enjoyed your Christmas Day dinner at The Old Manor in years past.

“We are delighted to bring this back for 2024, and extend a warm welcome to all diners who will come here on the Big Day – whether you used to come in the past, or you’re going to be new to the Hotel this year for Christmas, we can promise you a delicious feast, with locally sourced produce, and lots of choice for all the family.

“The big day’s feast will be served in the Seaview Restaurant, or the Largo or Lundie suites, which all offer the most magnificent sea views.”

Beginning from noon for early birds, the Christmas Day meal (£85 per person, and £20.95 for children under twelve), offers a choice of starters, including roasted carrot and lentil soup, Scottish smoked salmon, duck liver parfait, or pork, apple and cider Scotch Egg.

Main courses include traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings or a herb crusted salmon fillet, stuffed flat mushroom, or roast rib of beef. Diners can complete their meal with either traditional Christmas Pudding with brandy cream, raspberry and white chocolate brulée, a sticky toffee pudding, or a trio of ice cream and sorbets.

Also, for the very first time, the Old Manor is holding a Children’s Christmas Party, taking place on Sunday, 6 December between 4 and 6 pm, costing £10 per child, with adults at £2 each. Each child will receive a gift from Santa Claus.

Every day 1 to 23 December, from noon to 8.30pm, a Festive Menu will be offered in the Seaview Restaurant, with two courses costing £26.95. Choose from crowd pleasers such as haggis bon bons, tomato & mozzarella bruschetta, traditional roast turkey, king prawn & mussel Linguine, and not forgetting feather blade of beef.

Christmas Party Discos are back too, running on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th December. Priced at £39.95 per person, a festive three course meal will be served, followed by dancing the night away until 1am.

Steven said: “This year at the Old Manor, Hogmanay offers a choice of two different events – or do both to make a real night of it!

“Firstly, there’s our Hogmanay Dinner, from 6pm, in the Seaview Restaurant, a spectacular four course meal priced at £55 per head. Then, we have our Bring in the Bells Party, costing only £25 for adults, with under 18’s at £15. A local DJ will take to the decks to get everyone partying in style.

“We’ll serve a cheeseboard with accompaniments at 11.30pm, with a piper coming in to pipe in the New Year at the Bells. It’s going to be a fantastic night where the whole family can get together, perfectly rounding off our festive schedule.”

“We think our festive line up this year is one of the strongest yet. It’s a real celebration as we finish the refurbishment and look to the future at this beautiful Hotel with its incredible location. There’s something for every budget this Christmas and New Year, so don’t miss out as all events and festive dining can be booked now.

“We’re on the doorstep for people in Lundin Links, Upper Largo and Leven, so very much look forward to welcoming our local community.”
