Libby Smith has been named the Scottish Women’s Premier League Player of the Month for September.

The 25-year-old, who signed from Sporting Jax at the end of August, has enjoyed a tremendous opening month featuring four times for the Club throughout September.

Smith caught the eye on her home debut in the 2-2 draw with Glasgow City, then scored the perfect hat-trick in Hibs 8-1 victory over Kilmarnock in the Sky Sports Cup.

Her goalscoring exploits didn’t stop there, however, as she repeated the trick the following weekend in Hibs 6-1 victory over Montrose at Meadowbank.

Onto the final game of the month, and Smith found the back of the net once again, as Joelle Murray’s side earned a 2-0 victory on the road at Aberdeen.

After one of the best months of her career, Smith won the vote of the other SWPL clubs, and received her award at HTC on Thursday.
