Hibs midfielder Jamie McGrath insists that the squad are ready for the Edinburgh derby after a strong recent run of form.
And the Republic of Ireland international says that these are the types of game everyone wants to be involved in.
“It’s one of those games you look out for at the start of the season, and it’s going to bring a great crowd again,” McGrath told the media in his pre-match press conference at HTC this afternoon..
“These are the types of games that you want to play in as a player, and we’re really looking forward to it as we’re in a good place at the moment.
“They are games of fine margins, and we’re looking to come out on top with a positive result tomorrow night.
“You can feel it bubbling over the last few days around the city, and I’ve been made well aware not to lose the game.
“I was in the club shop yesterday, and it’s exciting as a player, so we’re really excited for it, and there’s no better feeling than when you come out the right side.
“They (Hearts) have been involved in a lot of high-scoring games this season, are front-footed and have a lot of quality in the attacking areas, so we have to be ready to stop them, but we also look very dangerous going the other way.
“When I signed last year, everyone was obsessed about the derby from minute one, and I think that’s the first thing you learn when you come here, but we can’t get too sidetracked by that as well.
“The season’s played out over 38 games, so we can’t let one result define us, but of course we want to go and give a good account of ourselves tomorrow and hopefully come out on the right side.
“Our tails should be up and confidence should be flowing, and there’s all the makings for a very good game.”
