In a couple of weeks’ time the Big Preloved Sale comes to Lucy and Yak’s for the second time this year.
The store encourages customers to take a different approach to fashion where long lasting clothes are the norm.
The store’s Be More You ethos encourages people to embrace circularity with the nationwide sale between 24 and 27 September. Re:Yak has helped the brand rehome around 50,000 pieces of Lucy & Yak clothing.
During the sale there will be many more rails of pre-loved clothing in stores than usual, some of which have been up cycled or customised by the Re:Yak team, Cat and Sam in Yorkshire.

Circularity is at the heart of our mission, driving us to find resourceful ways to keep our clothes in circulation for longer and reduce the amount that ends up in landfill. Reaching 50,000 Re:Yaks in just 3 years is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, and we’re so grateful to our community for embracing resale and giving their clothes the chance to be loved all over again!”
The brand has made a commitment to keeping more clothes in circulation and uses Facebook Marketplace for buying, selling and swapping as well as in store events. At a Re:Yak workshop customers can return their old Yaks and receive a cash voucher of up to £25 to pay for their next purchase.
