Police are treating the death of a man whose body was discovered near to West Calder Football Club on Harburn Road at around 8.55am on Friday August 7 as ‘unexplained’
Emergency services were called to the scene which was cordoned off to facilitate the initial investigation.
Officers now say that they do not believe there is anything suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: Around 8.55am on Friday, 7 August, 2026, we received a report of the death of a man on Harburn Road, West Calder.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
