Over 170 new recruits took part in a charity 5k run last week.

The officers, who are currently undergoing their initial training course at the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan, participated in the run for their chosen charity.

Each probationer intake selects a charity and the students partake in extracurricular activities both on and off campus to raise funds.

Course 01/26 chose Cahonas Scotland as their charity.

Cahonas is a Scottish charity that raises awareness for testicular cancer, promotes early self-checks, and supports patients.

The total amount raised will be announced at the courses pass out parade in September, where a representative from the charity will collect the cheque.
