The East of Scotland Cricket Association inaugurated the Norman Berger Trophy this season to honour a stalwart of the sport now in his ’90s and who continues to be celebrated for overseeing the venerable Parks Trophy for many years.

First winners are Drummond Trinity who defeated Edinburgh South in the final at Cavalry Park.

Batting first Drummond Trinity made 113-9 with Love Bhardwaj top scoring with 27. In reply Edinburgh South finished their alloted overs on 100-9 with Kasun Dissanwayake hitting 30. He also took two DT wickets but it was Sukumar Annewar who was the South hero taking five wickets from his four over spell.
