An investigation is underway after a 43-year-old man was found injured on an Edinburgh street.
Around 9.30pm last night Friday 17 July 2026 officers received a report of a male being found injured in a garden on Whitson Road.
Emergency services attended the scene which was cordoned off to facilitate the investigation.
The injured man was taken to hospital where hs condition was later described as serious but stable.
Police are now appealing for information and said that their enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30pm on Friday, 17 July, 2026, we received a report of a 43-year-old man found injured in a garden in the Whitson Road area of Edinburgh.
Police and ambulance attended and he was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“Hospital staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.
“Anyone with information that may assist should contact 101 quoting incident number 3838 of 17 July.”
