Police are appealing for witness to an incident of dangerous driving on the A68, near to the junction with the Edinburgh City Bypass.
The incident took place between 8pm and 8.30pm, Wednesday the 22nd of July 2026.
A blue Seat Arona car (Registration unknown) was driven dangerously which resulted in a white Fiat 500 car, colliding with a barrier, after the driver was required to take evasive action, to avoid a collision.
The driver of the blue Seat Arona did not stop at the scene and fortunately no persons were injured.
Police Constable Geoff Valentine, from Dalkeith Roads Policing said: ‘Enquiries into this incident are ongoing.
“I would ask anyone who has any information that will assist this enquiry and identify the registration, or driver of the blue Seat Arona, to come forward and contact police on 101, quoting incident number 3371 of 22/07/2026.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at this time and has a dash cam fitted to their vehicle, to review footage.”
