Concerns growing for missing Bankfoot man who was last seen in Craigmillar

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace 27-year-old Jamie Sharp-Hunter, reported missing from Bankfoot. 

He was seen in the Bankfoot area around 12pm on Friday, 10 July, 2026.  

Enquiries have established that Jamie was in the Craigmillar area of Edinburgh around 9pm on Tuesday, 14 July, 2026. 

Jamie is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall, of slim build, with short, dark hair. He has a nose piercing and full-length sleeve tattoos on both arms. 

When last seen, Jamie was wearing a blue and white t-shirt, black trousers, and black boots. He may have a black jacket. 

Inspector Louise Forsyth said: “Concerns for Jamie are ongoing and we are keen to trace him as soon as possible. 

“We’d ask anyone who may have seen him to contact us. 

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0594 of Tuesday, 14 July, 2026.” 

Police Scotland update: “We can confirm that Jamie Sharp-Hunter, who was reported missing from Bankfoot, has been traced.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.”
