Police in West Lothian are appealing for information following a serious collision in Armadale.
The incident happened around 8.40am on Thursday, 11 June, on Avondale Drive near the junction with West Main Street and involved a 10-year-old girl and the driver of a grey Toyota Hilux car.
Emergency services attended and the girl was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh where her condition is described as serious but not life threatening.
The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened around 2.20pm.
Inspector Thomas Mallinson: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
“Please also check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage you have to see if something has been captured to assist with our investigation.”
