A fire on Saturday night in West Pilton Avenue has resulted in one woman being taken to hospital.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted to an incident at 9.16pm on Saturday night on West Pilton Avenue in Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances and a height appliance to the incident.
“A stop message was received at 10.35pm and the last appliance left the scene at 11.18pm after making the area safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.40pm on Saturday, 13 June, 2026, we were called to a report concern for a woman who had fallen from the window of a flat in West Pilton Avenue, after a fire started within the property.
“The 43-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. A number of residents in the block were evacuated as a precaution. “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.”
