A man has died after taking unwell on Ferry Road at around 1.50pm this afternoon, Monday, May 25.
Emergency services responded but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Officers said that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Around 1.50pm on Monday, 25 May, 2026, we received a report of a man having taken unwell on Ferry Road in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
