Hibs midfielder Jamie McGrath has been called up by the Republic of Ireland for their upcoming friendlies against Qatar and Canada.
McGrath who has been capped 13 times was selected by head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson after his squad was hit by injuries to a number of key players.
McGrath’s last call up for Republic of Ireland came in November last year.
He was not picked for the squad that failed to reach the World Cup after losing to Czechia in the play-offs in March.
McGrath will join Hibs teammate Owen Elding, who has been training with the Irish ahead of his citizenship being confirmed.
St Mirren midfielder Killian Phillips who helped the Buddies retain their Premiership status after a 1-0 play-off victory over Partick Thistle last night was also called up.
