Cammy Devlin and Harry Milne are bursting to be fit for Monday’s big clash with Rangers at Tynecastle and the crocked pair are progressing well.
Derek McInnes, Hearts’ head coach, was guarded about which one would eventually be on the team sheet for the game which is pivotal in the race for the league title.
It’s a 5.30pm kick-off on Bank Holiday Monday and the game is on front of a nationwide TV audience.
Ambitious McInnes wants to see Tynecastle rocking for the game and Hearts go into the key fixture with a three-point lead over Celtic with Rangers a further point behind.
The numbers are Hearts played 34, 73 points, Celtic played 34, 70 points and Rangers played 34, 69 points.
Rangers have scored 68 goals and shipped 34. Hearts have scored 60 goals and let in 29 but the ex-Aberdeen and Kilmarnock boss wants his men to make the most of home advantage.
And he declared: “We just want Tynecastle to be in its full glory. To the supporters, bring your scarves, show your colours, give it laldy.
“Let’s go and make it a proper night. We’ll be determined to get the right result and we see it as a fight we can win.”
If things don’t go to plan McInnes said: “Win, lose or draw, we’re still in the fight but we’re determined to try and make the most of the opportunity, particularly at Tynecastle.”
The Jambos boss indicated that Hearts may be the underdog when they play the Old Firm but he added: “We have real belief in what we are doing. The results we’ve had have been a testament to that.”
