East of Scotland Tennis boys excelled by beating West of Scotland in a decider to clinch promotion from Division 3A of the LTA County Cup at the Moray Centre in Elgin.
The East side went into their last match and a 7-2 win on the back of beating Leicestershire 9-0 but going down to Hampshire.
Representing the East were Chenming Dong, Arsenii Opryshko, Rory Robb, Aarav Iyer Chadalawada, Murray Watters, Oscar Sommer, Severijus Snarkis and Ray Gallacher.
East under-18 girls were edged out of promotion from Division 2B at Bolton after a tantalising 4-5 reverse asgainst Hertfordshire. Earlier they had beaten Lancashire and Cheshire both by 6-3 margins with the following team – Aadya Iyer, Hanna Augustrynska, Elodie Dick, Eva Dorado, Kate Murray, Kano Sato and Amy Lamb.
