Portobello teenager, Joe Mathieson, is one of three players from the East of Scotland selected by Team GB for the Aquatics water polo world cup (division two) in Malta from April 7-13.
Joe, who has come through the under-20 GB ranks, joins Dunfermline pair Rory and Finlay Nesbitt and was part of a training camp in Barcelona before flying on to the tourjament venue.
The GB squad are drawn in an initial group which includes China and Montenegro.
