Lawrence Shankland and Cammy Devlin could return for title-pushing Hearts as they entertain Dundee to Tynecastle on Saturday (3pm) in their last league game until they travel to West Lothian to square-up to bottom club Livingston on April 5 (14.00). The pair trained on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Craig Gordon and Tomas Magnusson, who has a broken cheekbone, meanwhile, have travelled to London to see a specialist as they bid to regain full fitness but Beni Baningime and Harry Milne will not be in the line-up.
They have not trained this week. Milne came off on Saturday during the 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock with a calf strain and Baningime had an injection on Monday.
McInnes (pictured) told a press conference that he wants Hearts to “catch fire” between now and the end of the season.
For the record, Hearts lead the title chase with 63 points from 30 games followed Celtic, the champions, on 61 points and third-placed Rangers with 60 points. All have played 30 games.
McInnes conceded there is now little room for error but added: “I want the players to play with confidence, just go and try and make the most of the opportunity that is there for us. We are right in the middle of it and we’re exactly where we want to be.”
